The type of pin
In machinery, pins are mainly used for assembly positioning and also as overload shear connections in connection and relaxation level safety devices. The types of pins are: cylinder pin, cone pin, pin with hole, cotter pin and safety pin.
The classification of the pin
The basic forms of pins are cylindrical pins and cone pins. The cylindrical pin is fixed in the pin hole using a little interference. Multiple assembly and disassembly will reduce positioning accuracy. Cone PIN HAS a taper of 1:50, can be self-locking, by cone extrusion action fixed in the pin hole, high positioning accuracy, installation is also convenient, can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled.
The choice of the pin
The type of pin in use is selected according to its working requirements. The diameter of the pin used in the connection can be determined according to the structural characteristics of the connection according to experience, and the strength can be checked when necessary.
